Hello fellow travellers and a very happy 2010.

There are a couple of spots left on the ‘Colours of Rajasthan’ 17 day tour departing Delhi on 22nd Feb – Come on… you know you want to do it!

This trip coincides with the crazy and colourful ‘Holi’ festival and we also spend a day celebrating the ‘Elephant Fair’ in Jaipur, the enthralling capital of Rajasthan. With heritage hotels, overnight camel safari’s, fortresses, palaces and the Taj Mahal, this is a great trip to experience the best of North India and Rajasthan.

Also coming up soon is the magical ‘Himalayan Odyssey’ which is a 16 day trip to the Himalayan Foothills and beyond, departing Delhi on 17th April.

This tour visits Rishikesh for some yoga and white-water rafting, Amritsar for the Sikh Golden Temple and the India-Pakistan Border ceremony as well as spending time up in the mighty Himalayas where you can experience the stunning mountain vistas, trek through hills and valleys and maybe even get to meet the Dalai Lama, or at least visit his home and the Tibetan Government in Exile in Dharamsala.

However, you might also be interested in something later in the year.  How about the 17th October 16 day  ‘Rajasthan Heritage’, a sensational trip I just ran last month – staying at fabulous Heritage hotels in refurbished Palaces, Fortresses and Castles – plus you get to see the best of Rajasthan, including the romantic Lake city of Udaipur, Ranthambore Tiger Park, and of course Agra and the Taj Mahal.

Or what about the ‘Essence of India - Pushkar Camel Fair’ 23 day trip – my signature tour which departs Delhi on 4th November and finishes in Mumbai on November 26.  This incredible journey travels to Varanasi – the holy city on the Ganges, Agra for the Taj, and then continue=ogs through Rajasthan stopping off at the Pushkar Camel Fair to experience one of the most colourful and fabulous spectacles to be held anywhere in the world. We finish up in the exiting and fascinating commercial capital of India – Mumbai, also the home of Bollywood. You get to see all the highlights of Rajasthan and North India, as well as stay in Palaces and Royal Havelis, and meet my local friends who will make your journey so very special.

Perhaps you’d prefer to visit South India at the end of the year.

There’s the 15 day ‘Southern Sojourn’ around Kerala (God’s own country) which runs from the 27th November to 11th December.  A perfect opportunity to see one of the most beautiful parts of India, and in fact the world, as well as a great time to stock up on some exciting and unique Christmas presents. You will get to see the Keralan backwaters and the famous ‘Chinese fishing nets’, spend the night on a luxury houseboat, and in a tropical paradise homestay, trek through the jungles of Periyar National Park on the lookout for wild elephants and chill out on a deserted beach in north Kerala.

Finally, if you want to escape the whole Christmas/New Year thing and get away somewhere exotic and adventurous, why not come on the 22 day ‘Southern Odyssey’ which covers all the best parts of South India from Chennai, through to Kerala, and finishes up in Goa – just perfect for a few days lazing on the beach before getting back to start the New Year.  This trip runs from 18th December through to the 8th January 2011 and is truly a perfect blend of adventure and sights, experiences and moments to treasure for the rest of your days.

Whichever tour takes your fancy, my Indian friends & I would be delighted to share our passion and experience with you.

As well as these fabulous tours coming up this year, the 2011 tour program is also online, so do take a look at the website for more information about these tours and more.  And if you have any more questions about our tours to India, please do not hesitate to drop me a line or call me on 0431 120 792.
